Maureen: If I am so damn perfect, then why is my head so mixed up?
Maureen: Do you remember when we were little and mama used to tell us, that all we had to do was tell the man in the moon.
Dani: Yeah, you just had to keep on talking until you were sure you told him everything. So that he had all the pieces, like a puzzle.
Maureen: And then he work out the puzzle for you while you were asleep.
Abby: Next time you have a baby, you let me know how normal you feel afterward.
Marie: Now are you really that shy or are you just putting on?
Abby: You'll always get some kind of living out of good land.
Court: Are you always in the habit of going where you're not wanted or is this a new thing with you?
Dani: Are you always this nice to people you just met or are you practicin' up to be a horse's butt?
Court: You never give an inch do ya?
Maureen: Do you feel like there's something missing? Like there's something you've been waiting for your whole life and you wonder will you ever have it? I think love should be so beautiful and powerful. I want to be swept away by love.
Maureen: For starters, you let him kiss you, if you like him. If you don't like him, you just tell him you're not that type of girl.
Dani: If I do what I feel, I'll burst into a million pieces and go flying out into space.
Dani: Have you ever liked someone so much it made ya sick?
Dani: It's like my stomach ties up into knots, and I can't breathe. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to throw up.
Court: One of these days somebody's gonna get your cherry, and it's not gonna be me, because I don't think I'd like myself too much for it.
Dani: I want to know your hopes.
Court: My hopes. Okay, well I hope your boobs will get bigger and your butt will fill out.
Dani: When two people really care about each other, well when two people really care, they try to understand things even when it's hard. Don't you think so?
Maureen: I never thought I could feel this way. It's like I've been waiting for you to come back and find me. Now I'm afraid it'll all go away.
Court: I'm not going anywhere.
Matt: You know Dani, you and Maureen are going to be sisters for a long time.
Dani: Don't ask me to forgive her because I can't.
Matt: You've got a right to grieve, Dani. You're got a right to be hurt. But if you get so wrapped up in your own pain and you can't see anyone else's then you might as well dig yourself a hole and pull the dirt in on top of you because you're never going to be much use to yourself or anyone else.
Dani: You don't know what she did.
Matt: I know enough. I know hating your sister is not going to bring Court back. Maureen has been good to you all your days, remember that. She's hurting bad right now. She's hurting as much as you, maybe more.
Dani: Sometimes I think that nothing's ever gonna make sense again.
Maureen: Maybe life's not supposed to make sense.
