One Tree Hill: Keith Scott

I'm leaving because I can't look at you anymore without my heart breaking.

You gotta open up your heart to someone. You gotta let someone discover how staggering you are. But don't live alone, that I couldn't take.

You can't find something that's not there, like your heart.

We fell in love, and at some point, the people we love forgot to love us back.

Most people are stronger than they know... they just, forget to believe in it sometimes.

I'll tell you why. When I was a kid, my father took me to Raleigh to see David Thompson play. I was 9 years old. I couldn't have cared less about basketball. But when Thompson stepped on the court, he was so young, so quick, and just so graceful that I was mesmerized. I couldn't take my eyes off him until late in the game, and I look up at my dad, and he's got tears in his eyes. 14,000 strangers and my father's crying because he's so beautiful. He played with such poetry that he made us feel like we were a part of it. You have a gift, Luke, and it's a crime not to let people see it, to hide it in the park. It's a damn shame. That's why.

It's a special thing, saying 'I love you' to people you love. Because you never know when you'll lose them, or when they'll lose you.

So do me a favor, win tomorrow night. I was gonna say score but I didn't think that was appropriate.

I guess you had to ask the question I mean my track record with your mom is about as bad as the Raven's.

That's right. Big brother. And no matter what you did on that basketball court a lifetime ago, and no matter what you do now, I'll always be your big brother. So guess what, Danny boy? It was my name first. It's Lucas' name now. And there's nothing you can do about it.

You know, you can be ashamed of me. And you can be ashamed of Lucas. But what makes you think we're not just as ashamed of you? Huh? Now get out of my shop.

It's the rule of the life - the prettier the girl - the messier car; kind of a turn on.

I'm not gonna leave you here son. I'm not gonna do that and I'll tell you why. Cause I've been there. I've bought the gun, and i planned on using it ok. I've been there. And I wanna tell you something, it gets better. It does Jimmy. That pain in your stomach, that pain in your heart, it goes away. That voice in your head that's saying there's no way out, it's wrong Jimmy. Would you please, please just believe me. It gets better.

I always had a pair Danny. Just ask your wife.

It's funny, but I feel like I'm about to start the life that I always wanted.

Seeing your mom still takes my breath away.

You know, you want your relationship to move forward, some point you gotta let go of the past. Start writing a new future.

That pain in your stomach, that pain in your heart, it goes away. That voice in your head that's saying there's no way out, it's wrong Jimmy. Would you please, please just believe me. It gets better.
